LAH Real Estate is 25!!!
If the second twenty-five are anything like the first, we’re in for a great ride. You know there will be good times and maybe a few not so good but we’ll always have each other’s support when we need it – we’re fortunate to have the strong corporate culture that makes this such an awesome place to work.
Thank You to all those who have cheered LAH on over the past 25 years. I hope you will join us on April the 27th 2017 to have some fun, to taste a little (or a lot) of Saw’s BBQ, to hear some really good music and hopefully to get a sense of what I’ve come to know as an awesome real estate company.
I look forward to seeing you,
Maurice Humphries, President

13th ANNUAL CHILI COOK-OFF…LAH’s own Austin Blair explains why he loves competing in this event
LAH talked with Austin Blair, LAH Commercial Broker and Manager, and found out why he competes in The Exceptional Foundation’s Chili Cook-Off. He said,”I got involved in the inaugural year of the event which has now grown to over 100 teams. One of my clients, a local lawyer, has a son who attends The Exceptional Foundation. It’s an awesome organization providing daily activities for the mentally and physically challenged. I love this event because it provides a HUGE portion of The Exceptional Foundation’s operating budget, and there’s just something awesome about putting 40 pounds of meat in a huge pot before sunrise. Our recipe is top secret, of course. It is a traditional style chili.”
Austin is part of a team called the “Spice Boys” who have competed in this event 8 times and have two trophies to show for it. In addition to Austin, this year’s team includes Jimbo Moore, Ben Preston, John Holley, Andy Hardy, & Billy Wade.
So come down to Brookwood Mall on March 4th from 10:30 – 3:30. Use your ticket stub to write in your vote for People’s Choice and let’s help The Exceptional Foundation raise funds and awareness of social and recreational needs of individuals of all ages that are mentally and physically challenged. And come have fun!

Literally the L the A and the H
Ironically a picture of Jim Lawrence (L), Keith Arendall (A) and Maurice Humphries (H) – how fun and cool to have these guys in the room! These guys founded Lawrence-Arendall-Humphries Real Estate, Inc. in the spring of 1992. Today the company has grown to become Birmingham’s largest locally-owned real estate company with over 220 associates. Click here to read more.

Jefferson County Board of Ed
The Birmingham Association of Realtors (BAR) was approached by the Jefferson County Board of Education requesting funds to purchase life saving vests for the school resource officers who monitor the schools. The BAR welcomed the opportunity to donate $15,826.00 to purchase vests for every officer in the Jefferson County School System. Why does this matter? Each and every Realtor who is a member of the BAR contributed to this amazing cause and need in our community. If you think your membership dollars aren’t valuable, think again???
Paying it forward isn’t a “have to” it’s a “want to”.

Kim Barlare, BAR President Elect 2018 and Debbie White, LAH Corporate Liaison Director and others at the BAR
