Since joining LAH Real Estate last year, Mandy is able to provide exemplary service to her clients due to her vast marketing experience. A native of Birmingham and resident of Homewood, she specializes in the sale of new and existing homes in Homewood, Vestavia, Hoover, Mountain Brook, and locations throughout the Birmingham-Metro area.
Mandy is an asset to our LAH Real Estate family as well as our Birmingham communities. She and her husband Jonathan live in Homewood with their two children, Isabella and Liam. She enjoys attending Homewood High School football games, dining in the Magic City’s fabulous restaurants, and outdoor activities with her family and Scottish terriers.
A self-described “foodie”, Mandy is the founder of the popular local food blog, Foodies of Birmingham. She started Foodies of Birmingham after seeing the need for a more comprehensive food guide that offers an in-depth look at some of the cuisine offerings of local restaurants.
She is an alumnus of Birmingham-Southern College, where she studied classical music performance, and UAB Graduate School, where she studied communication management. As an active member of Opera Birmingham, she remains connected to her background in classical music.
Mandy joined the Opera Birmingham chorus in 2008 at the advice of her classical voice teacher at Birmingham Southern for a performance in Puccini’s Turandot. Since then she has performed in numerous productions including: La Boheme, Carmen, Madame Butterfly, and Tosca.
Opera Birmingham, the only professional opera company in Northern and Central Alabama, has entertained audiences for over 60 years. Mandy says, “the opera has become family to her over the years”. The chorus is made up of an eccentric group of doctors, lawyers, college students, teachers, counselors, and a couple of manual laborers who share a passion for singing.
Mandy will be performing in Opera Birmingham’s production of Massenet’s Cinderella, March 20-22. She is one of the house maids and serves the evil step-mother. Tickets to Cinderella are available at: operabirmingham.org/cinderella.
