Scott Smithson is an agent at our Homewood office and has been with LAH for 13 years. He got his start in real estate to follow in his father’s footsteps. In his time with LAH, Scott has developed a strong client list with a focus on clear communication. He believes communication is one of the most important things a realtor can provide. He strives to guide and protect buyers and sellers through every step of the process and make sure they know everything involved in their sale.
“My goal is to protect my clients and take a personal interest in them,” he said.
What makes Scott an expert in his field is his attention to detail. He continually monitors the housing market on both a local and national scale. He knows the importance of keeping up with trends in neighborhoods that are his field of service.
He loves his LAH family and appreciates them all as a resource he can always reach out to for additional advice and counsel. He continues learning each day with LAH’s slew of continuing education courses and speakers. He also tries to read articles from other real estate agents and websites on his own.
When he’s not working, Scott spends most of his free time with his family. He enjoys running, woodworking and reading. He is also involved with his church, where he has taught 11th grade students for the past 39 years. He has been married to his wife Nancy for 51 years. They have one son named Warren, and two grandchildren: Bradley (9) and Maggie (6).
