Before Jena Standard even joined the real estate industry, she loved helping friends and family shop for their new homes. She would look at the new listings online daily like it was already her job. Jena loved the thrill of the hunt. Despite her husband continuously encouraging her to become an agent, it never seemed like the right time. One morning, Jena received an email from Groupon for real estate classes that fit within her work schedule. The sessions started that night, and as fate had it, she even had a Groupon credit for the exact dollar amount for the classes. Jena took that as a sign and leaped into the real estate world.

Every one of Jena’s jobs since Parisian at age 16 has revolved around customer service. She continued that theme by becoming a REALTOR® and, in August 2015, joining LAH’s Mountain Brook office. Jena loves working with people and being on the go rather than at a desk. Jena works and lives by the Golden Rule and treats her clients and other agents the way she wants to be treated. She understands that buying or selling can be such a stressful and scary process, which is why Jena works hard to be always available and responsive to her clients.

When she is not serving her clients, Jena and her husband, Sidney, perform with their local krewe, Magic City Disco. They love the spirit, friendship and commitment of the wonderfully diverse group of disco-loving people. They also spend time at their favorite getaway and the city where they were married, New Orleans. Since 2016, Jena and Sidney are proud residents of Downtown Birmingham with Nola, a former stray kitty, and JoJo, a rescue from the Greater Birmingham Humane Society. They enjoy the sense of community and their amazing neighbors whom they travel, attend events and enjoy the city. The REALTOR® and her husband have plans of never leaving their neighborhood!
