Hoover Agent Spotlight – Craig Taylor September, 2020

When I first met Craig Taylor he and his soon to be wife, Julie were embarking on transferring to Birmingham from South Carolina.  Julie had just finished her residency and was in the process of getting a job with a women’s practice in one of Birmingham’s premier healthcare systems.   Craig was in the radio and media business and had been since he was 17 years old.  March 2010 was a busy month filled with change; new jobs, a wedding, and a permanent change of address.  What they really needed was the perfect Realtor. Ben Preston, assistant manager at LAH Hoover, was a perfect fit for Craig and Julie.  They hit it off immediately and purchased a home rather quickly.  They all remained friends so when Craig contemplated a career change, Ben was one of the first people he called.  Getting into real estate was very different from Radio but when he met John Holley, the Broker of LAH Hoover, they hit it off immediately and he was on his way to a successful career.

The ebb and flow of the real estate business was an adjustment.   Growing up in Meridian, Mississippi with relatives in residential construction he was exposed to the endless opportunities offered in the industry.  Craig stayed focused on his business plan and was determined to succeed.  His keen ability to listen and take care of his clients has really paid off.  His business has grown each year due to referrals from past clients and his expertise in marketing and media.  He also understands the stress and excitement that comes from relocating. Having lived in South Carolina and Louisiana, Craig is no stranger to the process of moving.  These experiences have equipped him to provide extraordinary service to his clients transferring into Birmingham from other states.

Craig and Julie have established roots in Birmingham over the past 10 years.  They have two children, Cady (6) and Winston (2).  Their life-work balance is strategic and they are all succeeding and thriving!

LAH Hoover is blessed to have Craig’s leadership.  He is a great example of what happens when you work hard, are disciplined, and have a strong work ethic.  Thank goodness he decided to change careers and join LAH Real Estate.
